Brownwood Police Report – Monday, January 6

On Sunday, January 5, at approximately 19:11 hours, Officer Donahoo was dispatched to the 3800 block of 2nd Street in reference to a domestic disturbance.  A report was completed.

While on patrol on January 5, at approximately 17:45 hours, Officers met with a victim of family violence at the Law Enforcement Center.  A report was completed and the victim was provided with domestic violence services.

On Sunday, January 5, at approximately 17:31 hours, an Officer responded to the 500 block of West Austin Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.  An arrest was made for Assault Family Violence-Simple Assault.

On January 5, Officers responded to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.  A report was taken for assault family violence impeding breath, a third degree felony.  Investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, January 5, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Street in reference to a medical call, the second call within an hour.  The female subject was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center, although Lifeguard EMS stated here vitals were within normal limits.  Once at BRMC, the female became upset and began shouting at hospital staff.  The female was then placed into custody for abusive call to 911 and disorderly conduct.

On Sunday, January 5, Officers conducted a traffic stop on the 500 block of West Commerce.  While conducting the stop, the female driver was found to have two warrants.  Inside the vehicle drug paraphernalia was located.  The female was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.

On Sunday, January 5, at approximately 05:02 hours, Officer was dispatched to the 3400 block of U.S. 377 South in reference to a welfare check.  Officer arrived on scene and made contact with the subject in question.  An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made.  A report has been generated.

On Saturday, January 4, at approximately 17:43 hours, Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce in reference to an intoxicated person.  The suspect was located and placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.

On January 4, 2020, at approximately 17:20 hours, Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Main Blvd.  Upon further investigation, an arrest was made for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

On Saturday, January 4, at approximately 08:06 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer responded to a suspicious activity report.  An arrest was made for Public Intoxication.

On Saturday, January 4, Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1600 block of Shaw Drive.  An investigation for DWI was completed and an arrest was made.

On January 3, Officers responded to 1050 West Commerce in reference to a theft report requested in the PD lobby.

On Friday, January 3, Officers responded to the 2100 block of 6th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance.  After speaking to all parties involved, a report was generated.

On January 4, Officers were dispatched to 14th Street in reference to a hit and run.  A report has been generated.

On January 3, Brownwood officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue in reference to theft.  A report has been generated.
