A regular meeting of the Brown County Water Improvement District Board of Directors will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, at the District Office, 501 E. Baker.  The agenda is below.

Citizens Presentations: Any citizen desiring to address the Board of Directors regarding a matter not included on agenda may do so at this time. The Board of Directors may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Board of Directors respectfully requests that prior to addressing the Board, each person submit a citizen’s presentation form located at the entrance lobby, stating your name, address and topic of presentation. All presentations are limited to five (5) minutes time limit.

Executive Session: Board shall convene into a closed executive session pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss personnel matters;
Consider and take any necessary action regarding matters in executive sessions;

Consider adoption of 2020-2021 fiscal year budget and set treated and untreated water rates.
Approve hiring of an auditor for the District’s 2018/2019 fiscal year audit.
Consider and take necessary action on a letter of recommendation for former director John W. Hays for possible appointment to TWDB regional flood planning group.
Consider and take necessary action regarding request from James Weatherby of 100 Lake Dr, Brownwood, regarding portable buildings on the Kirkland Lease.
Consider and take necessary action regarding professional services agreement with Freese & Nichols, Inc. for a Risk and Resiliency Plan and Emergency Action Plan as required b the American Water Infrastructure Act of 2018
Update and take necessary action on McCartney Island mooring leases.
Consider and take necessary action regarding Lake Brownwood and the current COVID19 outbreak;
Hear General Manager report regarding current events.
