City Council to Consider Naming Mayes Park Pavilion the Nanda Wilbourn Family Pavilion

The Brownwood City Council will meet at 9:00 am Tuesday, August 11, at City Hall.  They will consider the following items of business:

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Consider a resolution naming the Mayes Park Pavilion the Nanda Wilbourn Family Pavilion.
B. Consider an ordinance on first reading changing the City Marshal position to be under the direction of the Police Department.

A. Consider approving Adams Street Community Center renovation cost estimates.
B. Council may vote to propose a 2020 property tax rate of$.7448 per $100 valuation for the FY 20/21 budget.

11. Agreements and Contracts
A. Consider authorizing the Mayor to sign a rental contract with Howard Payne University for use of the Coliseum for the 2020/21 Volleyball/Basketball Season.

12. Bids
A. Consider awarding a bid for the paving of River Oaks Drive.

13. Consent Agenda
A. Consider an ordinance on second and third/final reading for a request to change the zoning classification of 2313 Avenue B, being Block 16, Lot Pt. 5, of the Grandview Addition, from R-3 Multi-family Residential District to C-2 General Business District.
