Jan Mobley, 91, of Coleman

Jan Mobley, age 91, of Coleman, died Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Road, Abilene, Texas 79601, with Rev. Aaron Mitchell, pastor of Concho Street Baptist Church, officiating.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Jan Sanders on June 22, 1929 in Nugent, Texas to Clyde Sanders and Geraldine Lewis.  Jan grew up in Nugent and Sonora and graduated high school in Leuders.  She married Raymon Mobley on December 27, 1947 in Anson.  They relocated to Eldorado in 1959 where they made their home until moving to Coleman in 2008.  Jan was an avid bridge player and was a member of the bridge clubs in Eldorado and Coleman.  She was also an artist at heart.  Jan could produce beautiful oil paintings and china paintings.  Her artistic creations have been shared with family and friends and are now a reminder of her love and passion for life.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Jan is survived by her husband of 73  years, Raymon Mobley of Coleman; her daughters, Susan Casey and husband Skip of Coleman and Charlotte Hill and husband Travis of Cypress; her grandchildren, Sean Casey and wife Raquel, Natalie Hill and Kendall Hill; and great-grandchildren, Rhys and Sage Casey.
