Brownwood District Football Schedule Changes with Vote by Coaches

The football coaches from District 5-4A Division I on Monday afternoon voted to move the Week 11 league games to Week 6, allowing for an extra week of make-up time if needed for potential COVID-19 outbreaks.

Therefore, the Battle of 377 will now take place Friday, Oct. 2 at Gordon Wood Stadium with the Lions kicking off league play against Stephenville. Games at Midlothian Heritage (Oct. 9), at Waco La Vega (Oct. 16), home against Alvarado (Oct. 23) and at Waxahachie Life (Oct. 30) will follow for Brownwood.

Friday, Nov. 6 will either be a bye date or make up week.

The Lions (2-2) host Abilene Wylie at 7:30 p.m. Friday in their pre-district finale, which will also serve as Homecoming 2020.
