Sentences Given in Brown/Mills County District Court

District Attorney, Micheal Murray, says that three felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis, presiding.

Bradley Ryan Horton pled guilty to the felony offense Theft -Elderly Individual and was sentenced to Twelve (12) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Horton, pled guilty to two separate offenses of Burglary of a Building and one offense of Theft and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Luis Alfonso Perez pled guilty to the felony offense of Injury to Child and was sentenced to Thirty-five (35) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Perez, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was revoked and sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

James Bryan Tawater pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
