Congressman August Pfluger Sworn Into the 117th Congress

Sunday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) was sworn in to represent the 11th District of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Pfluger released a statement upon executing the oath of office on the Floor of the House of Representatives:

“It is an incredible, humbling honor to swear an oath before God to defend the Constitution and serve the wonderful people of the 11th District of Texas in Congress,” said Congressman August Pfluger. “The twenty-nine counties of this remarkable district are home to the most decent, honest, hard-working men and women who feed, clothe, and power this nation. I could not be more appreciative of the trust they have placed in me, and I am determined to work hard every day to be their voice and advocate in Washington.”

Congressman Pfluger is from San Angelo, Texas. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Pfluger served a 20 year career in the U.S. Air Force as an F-22 fighter pilot, and on President Donald Trump’s National Security Council. Attaining the rank of Colonel, Pfluger maintains his status as a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Congressman Pfluger and his wife Camille reside in San Angelo, Texas with their three young daughters, Vivian, Caroline, and Juliana.
