Rose Mary Williams, age 86, of Brookesmith, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at her residence.

Memorial Services for Rose Mary will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Rose Mary was born on April 25, 1934, to Emil and Florence (Heubrock) Rasmussen in Santa Rosa, California.  After growing up in Santa Rosa and graduating from Santa Rosa High School, Rose Mary married the love of her life, George Franklin “Frank” Williams, on May 5, 1953, in Santa Rosa, CA.  She lived in several different states while her husband served in the United States Air Force.  They eventually settled back in Santa Rosa and raised their 5 children.

Before retiring in 1997, Rose Mary worked for 25+ years at Community Hospital in the Payroll Department.  Frank & Rose Mary moved to Brookesmith, Texas in 2005.  Rose Mary enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and gardening.  Her love for music started at a young age and she played both the piano and accordion.  She had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing around the piano with her husband and children.

Rose Mary is survived by her children, Mary Ann Edwards and husband Kevin of CA, Debi Holcomb of CA, Bill Williams of CA, John Williams and wife Ann of CA, Sandy Green and husband David of Brookesmith; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Kathryn Rohrman and Mika Strassman of CA.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank; her parents, Emil Rasmussen & Florence Lamb; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
