Betty Hobbs, 77, of Bangs

Betty Hobbs, age 77, of Bangs passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Graveside Services for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Bangs Cemetery with Joey Wilburn officiating; no set visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Betty was born on April 23, 1943, to Johnnie Newton and Ethel Mae (Hughes) McKee in Soper, Oklahoma. She married Albert Roy Hobbs on January 12, 1964, in Soper, OK. Betty was an LVN and worked at Twilight Nursing Home in Bangs until its closing. She then went to work for CARE Nursing Inc. until her retirement.

She was a faithful Baptist. She enjoyed crafting and gardening. Betty loved and adored her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Betty is survived by her 3 daughters, Wanda Freeman and husband Lance of Lake Dallas, Pam McDaniel and husband Scott of Brownwood, Brenda Edwards and husband John of Brownwood; 1 son, David Hobbs and wife Chris of Abilene; grandchildren: Crystal, Kayla, Kendra, DeAndray, Bryant, Brittany, Gannon, Ashleigh; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Trudy Caraway of Oklahoma, Judy Chaney and husband Larry of Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hobbs; parents, Johnnie and Ethel Mae McKee; and 1 sister, Shirley Keller.
