Mary was born October 16, 1928 in Bangs to Andrew Loyd and Lorine Pruitt.  Mary graduated from Bangs High School and attended Howard Payne University.  She married William (Bill) Prince Jr. on June 9, 1946 and they began a life together that blessed them with 2 children.  Mary loved her Bible and her church.  She studied her Bible every day.  She taught Sunday School for about 6 years at the Bangs First Baptist Church in the Ester class and loved it.  She loved cooking and gardening and bird watching.  She enjoyed the “old” tv shows like Perry Mason and Gunsmoke.  Being married to Bill gave her the opportunity to move around and see the countryside.  She lived in Stephenville, Texas and Alexandria, Virginia where they gained a child before moving on to Minneapolis, MN.  When Bill and Mary moved back to Texas they landed in Dallas until 1974 when she moved back to Bangs where she remained until her passing.  She was a doting grandmother to her grandson, Rocky, whom she adored.  Mary had a furry companion named Phoebe who was the animal love of her life.  As a young woman, Mary loved to sing and sang at Camp Bowie in the USO and at the Church.  Mary spent her life as a homemaker and caretaker of her eldest daughter who suffered from an illness all her adult life.  Mary had a big heart and cared deeply for all her family, church family and friends.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda Skipper and Mary Ann Harless of Bangs; grandson, William Rockland Harless of Bangs; Beloved furry friend, Phoebe; beloved cats, Big Boy & Tippy; nephew, Morris Pruitt; nieces, Jean Ratliff and Judy Stanford; and many friends.
