On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 35 positive COVID-19 test results, 102 negative, 83 recoveries, and 1 death. Of the 35 positives, 13 were PCR, and 22 were antigen. There are currently 22 hospitalized in Brown County and 525 active cases.  This is down from 625 one week ago.  The death reported was a female in her 80’s, not a resident of a nursing facility.  A total of 96 deaths are Covid related in Brown County since the beginning of the pandemic.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 946 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 25 people vaccinated with both doses.  31,586 is the estimated for vaccination.

Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue January 21st and 22nd in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
