Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Friday

The following calls for service were answered between January 15 and January 21 by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On Friday, Jan. 15, Deputy Saydie Bradley, took a report for Assault Family Violence.

On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at approximately 1:24 a.m., Deputy Nicolas A. Wood was attempting to serve a Felony Warrant when the individual evaded arrest. The individual was later arrested for his Felony Warrant as well as Evading Arrest or Detention with a Previous Conviction.

On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at about 5:24 p.m., Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to a residence in the Block of Waterford Dr. This was in regarding a theft. After investigation, it was determined personal property belonging to the resident had been stolen. A report was generated for Theft MC.

On Thursday, Jan. 21 Deputy Andre Smoot discovered an abandoned vehicle broke down in a ditch off the roadway. Smoot later discovered the vehicles’ registered owner sold the vehicle and the title hadn’t been switched over to the new owner. Smoot also discovered, throughout the nearby roadway, this vehicle had conducted donuts in the muddied area of the bar ditch. The vehicle was towed, due to no owner information and possible offenses from the Texas Department of Transportation.

On Thursday, Jan. 21 Deputy Andre Smoot spoke with complainant referencing a criminal trespass being issued. Smoot gathered pertinent details and attempted contact with suspect.

On Thursday, Jan. 21 at approximately 6:10 p.m. deputies arrived to Vick Drive. This was in reference to an assault, which occurred to a staff member. After deputies de-escalated the parties, a report was made.
