Brown County COVID Deaths Reach 100

There was a reduction in the number of hospitalizations and number of active cases in the Monday COVID report from the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department.  Unfortunately, two more deaths were reported making a total of 100 county residents who have passed away from COVID since the pandemic began in 2020.

Daily Update:
On January 25, 2021, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 74 positive COVID-19 test results, 21 negative, 98 recoveries, and 2 deaths. Of the 74 positives, 21 were PCR, and 53 were antigen. There are currently 21 hospitalized in Brown County and 470 active cases. The deaths reported were a female in her 80s from a nursing facility, and a male in his 70s not from a nursing facility.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 1035 people vaccinated with 1st doses , 245 people vaccinated with both doses.  31,586 is the estimated for vaccination.

 Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 
Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue January 26th-29th in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
