The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets slipped to 0-10 in American Southwest Conference action and 0-14 on the season with a 74-70 road loss at McMurry Thursday.
The Yellow Jackets shot 37 percent (25 of 67) from the floor, 25 percent (5 of 20) from beyond the three-point arc, and 65 percent (15 of 23) at the free throw line. HPU owned a 51-43 edge in rebounds, but committed 20 turnover while forcing just 15.
Howard Payne visits Hardin-Simmons (12-5, 7-3) – an 81-74 winner over Sul Ross Thursday – at 6 p.m. Saturday.
