Linda Jo Cochran, age 79, of Brownwood went to sleep and woke up in the presence of her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 13, 2021, to be joined with Junior, the love of her life, to live eternally in their Heavenly log cabin.

Graveside Services for Linda will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at the Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Linda Jo was born on August 4, 1941, to Jack and Marie (Wakefield) Van Huss in Brownwood.  She attended Early schools. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Linda lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother, homemaker, and worker in the manufacturing and food service sector. She was employed with Brownwood Manufacturing for many years as a Line Supervisor and with Brownwood Independent School District as a cafeteria worker until her retirement.

She was joined in holy matrimony on April 19, 1968, to Felix Cochran Jr. until his passing in 2008. To this union four children were joined together as a family.

Known by her grandchildren as “Memaw”; her greatest pleasure in life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and spending time with them but she enjoyed most of all attending all their sporting events and dance recitals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix “Junior” Cochran Jr.; a son, Terrell Cochran; her parents, Jack and Marie Van Huss; and a brother, Michael Van Huss.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Kenny Rouse of Brownwood, and Phillip Cochran of Brownwood; daughter, Jalea (Dunaway) Fox and husband Derrik of Weatherford; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Billie Hill of Brownwood; and one brother; Kenneth Van Huss and wife Linda of Brownwood. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
