Tate Austin Crawford, 11, Big Spring

Tate Austin Crawford, 11 years old, fell into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Big Spring, TX. The family will receive friends on Monday July 26, 2021, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A Celebration of Tate’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 4:00pm at First Baptist Church of Big Spring.

Tate was born on October 10, 2009 in Lubbock, TX.  Tate loved life and loved his family and friends. He had a huge heart and a smile that would light up a room. He loved fishing, gardening, all outdoor activities, sports, animals, and especially sharks.  He was an amazing brother, a great friend, a young workaholic, and his Mama’s sweet “T”.  Tate had many nicknames within the family that included “T”, T-Money, Tater-Tot, Tiny-dawg and Bubby.  Tate was always the best friend to all of the animals in the house which included 4 cats, 3 dogs and the family pet pig (Merle Hoggard).  Tate accepted Jesus Christ in his heart as his lord and savior this summer after attending Church Camp and enjoyed relentless reading of scriptures in his bible.  He had the most optimistic outlook on life and was full of joy and love in his heart.  Tate always wanted to help people and children in need all over the world. Tate loved the rodeo and had aspirations to be a bull rider when he grew up. He wanted to be the first NBA player to wear a belt buckle… on the court!  He was the most amazing blessing to his parents and brothers.

He is survived by his loving parents, Ashley and Rusty Crawford of Big Spring, TX; twin brother, Owen Crawford of Big Spring, TX; brother, Mason Crawford of Big Spring, TX; Grandparents Mary and Michael Thornhill of Brownwood, Clay and Cheri Kuykendall of Brownwood, Jerry and Sonya Crawford of Coahoma, Great grandfather’s Charlie Garett of Midland and Carl Crawford of Midland, Aunts and uncles Kristen and Eric Blear of Frisco, Traci and Monty Brookings of Midland, Ricky and Jordan Crawford of Big Spring, Michelle and Beau Kiser of Lubbock, Sharla Littlefield of Lubbock, Marshall Thornhill of Lubbock, Stephen Thornhill of Richland Springs and Cousins Harper Blear, Hayden Blear, Landry Crawford, Chandler Crawford, Lannie Brookins, Colby Brookings, Bryce, Christian and Coldon Kiser, Sharlais, Kinser, Haley and Nathanial Malicoat,and Brooklyn Littlefield.

He is preceded in death by Sara Crawford great grandmother, Beauton Garrett of Midland, Maggie Garrett of Midland, Jeannie Garrett of Midland, Louise Bible of Brownwood and Don and Gene Kuykendall of Brownwood.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Crawford, Eric Blear, Corey Hill, Jordan Barron, Simon Hendrickson and Monty Brookings.
