Co. Commissioners to Hear From School & Water Personnel on Rescue Plan Funds

Brown County Commissioners will meet Monday, August 2, at 9:00 am in the Brown County Courthouse to cover the following agenda.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer-
3. Recognition of Special Guests and Presentations

C. Vance Hill, Sherriff- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding accepting donations made to the Brown County Sherriff’s Department. (CJ)
D. Wayne Shaw, Commissioner Pct. – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding application to Install a Private line by Zephyr WSC on CR 270.
E. Josh Martin, Bangs ISD- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding funding broadband and COVID mitigation for Bangs ISD out of the American Rescue Plan Act up to the sum of $250,000. (10 minutes)

K. Michael Murry, District Attorney- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding approval of the use of the American Rescue Plan act for technology for Brown County. (CJ) (10 minutes)
L. Sharon Ferguson County Clerk and Cheryl Jones District Clerk- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding approval of the use of the American Rescue Plan act for digitizing old records for a sum up to $769.601.50 for District Clerk and $699.669.60. for the County Clerk. (10 minutes)
M. Paul Lilly, County Judge- Consideration and possible approval of action regarding approval of using the American Rescue Plan Act to fund the difference for the Budget requests for the Nonprofits: Good Samaritan $2,400.00, Humane Society $8,5000.00, Public Library $5,000.00, Home Solutions $5,000.00, Museum $5,000.00, The Ark $15,000.00, Center for Life $5,200.00 for a total of$41,350.00.
N. Paul Lilly, County Judge- Consideration and possible approval of the transfer of America Rescue Plan Act grant funds from Brown County to the Center For a life Resources for their use in providing services $41,021.83.
