Brown County Sheriff’s Report

Numerous calls were answered by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department from Friday through Sunday, September 17-19.  Calls range from burglary to criminal mischief to harassment.

  • On Friday, September 17, 2021, at approximately 1:42 p.m. Deputy Scotty Burke met with a complainant. This was in reference to a stalking report and investigation.
  • On Friday, September 17 at about 1:44 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley spoke by phone with a victim in regard to harassment. The victim stated she is being harassed by a suspect, a former client of hers with MHMR, by email, calls, and text messages.
  • On Friday, September 17, at approximately 12:47 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant at the LEC. This was in reference to a lost property report and investigation.
  • On Friday, September 17 at around 3:08 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at Lovers Lane. This was in reference to criminal mischief, which occurred almost a week prior. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Friday, September 17 at around 4:47 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover and Corporal Jayson Bastardo responded to CR 604. This was in reference to disorderly conduct, which occurred before arrival. The property owner wished to criminal trespass an individual from the property, due to the incident. On September 18, the individual was contacted by phone and issued the trespass warning. A report was made.
  • On Friday, September 17, Lt. Pete Bastardo spoke with Alex Gieb. This was in regard to a bull being found on the property he care takes. The bull was estrayed and brought to the Sheriff’s Office holding pens.
  • On Friday, September 17, at approximately 7:05 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone. This was in reference to an alleged sexual assault, which occurred 30-40 years ago.
  • On Saturday, September 18 at approximately 11:57 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone. This was in reference to a harassment report and investigation.
  • On September 18 at 7:41 p.m. Corporal Jayson Bastardo, along with other deputies, were dispatch to the intersection of Hwy 279/ FM 2632. This was in regards to a rolling domestic, which involved two vehicles. The vehicles were located in Brownwood. After further investigation, information was gathered, and a report was taken.
  • On Sunday, September 19 at about 11:13 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley arrived at JT Ln. in Brownwood. This was in regard to a burglary. Langley spoke to a victim, who stated he believes two suspects broke into his residence and took property.
  • On Sunday, September 19 at around 2:28 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover arrived at CR 135. This was in reference to criminal mischief. The complainant advised more damage was done to her vehicle after an incident, which occurred the night before. A report was made.
  • On Sunday, September 19 at around 8:58 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover and Corporal Jayson Bastardo arrived at Ave. G in Blanket. This was in reference to an assault, which occurred on the property. After further investigation, a report was made.
