Seven Sentenced in District Court

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith presiding.

Justin Lynn Weiershausen pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jordan Ruben Mendoza, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William Joe Bailey, pled to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Brennon Oshea Mc-Dowell pled guilty to the felony offenses of Assault Family Violence Occlusion and Arrest and was sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Charles Austin Shaw pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Burglary of a Building and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Anthony Vernaci pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

David Strickland pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Ten (10) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
