A BBQ cookoff, parade, car show, kids games and yes, fireworks, will be held at Novice, Texas this weekend.

Novice is located just off Highway 84 in Northwest Coleman County and has been home to one of the largest fireworks shows in the area for many years.  The fireworks show will be at dusk on Saturday, July 2nd.

9:00 am – Vendor Showcase, Citywide garage/book sale
9:30 am – Parade lineup

11:00 am – Apps/Margs judging
12:00 pm – Gala, Beans judging
1:00 pm – Chicken judging
2:00 pm – Ribs judging, garage sale closing
3:00 pm – Brisket judging
4:00 pm – Kids games
5:00 pm – BBQ Awards
6:00 pm – Live music
7:00 pm – Firehose spray-down, Margarita tent open
9:00 pm – Pass the Boot, sponsor recognition
9:30 pm – National Anthem, Cannon Shot, Fireworks
