The Bangs Dragons won the Bi-District Championship, 61-21, over Nocona Friday night in Weatherford. Bangs generated 473 yards of offense (375 on the ground) while Nocona was able to gain 389 yards. The Dragon’s Guy Powell scored five times and finished the night with 236 rushing yards on only 11 carries. Powell has now gained 1,894 rushing yards this year with 27 TD’s. Next up for Bangs is a contest against Riesel (6-5). The Area Championship game will be played at 7:00 pm Friday night in Burleson.
