Sally Lafuente, born on May 20th, 1946, in Brady, Texas, passed away November 22, 2022. Sally lived in McCulloch County all her life. She married her husband Fernando Lafuente Jr. on July 17th, 1965, in Brady & they were together for 55 years of marriage.

She was a devoted member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church & a member of the Parish Council. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, shopping, dancing, she loved the Brady Bulldogs and was an avid sports fan. Sally worked at Brady ISD for 30 years (retired in 2021) & enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and showed her support anytime she could.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband Fernando Lafuente Jr., parents G.C. Flores, Alberta Flores, and Salud Loya, sisters Maria Jesus Villegas Loya & Salome Villegas Loya, and brothers Rodolfo Maldonando Loya & Gustavo Loya.

Sally is survived by her daughters, Theresa Mosqueda, spouse Raul Mosqueda, of Brownwood, Texas, Stella Vasquez, spouse Lupe Vasquez Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Celeste Lafuente of Helotes, Texas, Blanca Lafuente-Martinez, spouse Hector Martinez, of Brady, Texas, Jasmine Lafuente-Hernandez, spouse Enrique Hernandez, of San Antonio, Texas & her brother Maurilio Leon Loya of Mexico. Also, her grandchildren Alexis Mosqueda, Dany Mosqueda, Albert Vasquez, Victoria Vasquez, Aaron Vasquez, Aric Vasquez, Noah Garza, Joel Garza, Andre Martinez, Lana Martinez, Kai Green Martinez, Lukas Hernandez, Luciana Hernandez, great-granddaughter Sicily Jay Vasquez & niece Estela Soto Villegas.

A rosary & visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Wednesday, November 30, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, at 10am also at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Albert Vasquez, Dany Mosqueda, Aric Vasquez, Aaron Vasquez, Andre Martinez, Joel Garza, Travis Polk, Austin Walker, & honorary pallbearers, Noah Garza, Lukas Hernandez, & Kai Green Martinez.
