Pfluger demands rollback of Biden’s new WOTUS rule

WASHINGTON, DC —   Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) joined Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Dan Newhouse (WA-04), Reps. Mike Bost (IL-12) and David Rouzer (NC-07), Congressional Western Caucus Vice Chair Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01), and 191 other House Republicans in a letter blasting the Biden Administration for its premature and reckless “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) final rule.

The Members demand the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rescind the rule and postpone any subsequent agency action on WOTUS to allow the Supreme Court to issue an opinion on Sackett v EPA.

“The federal government has no business being in charge of every drop of water in Texas,” said Rep. August Pfluger. “I guarantee that rural communities know conservation, and the importance of protecting our own water supply, better than Joe Biden and unelected bureaucrats at the EPA. I am proud to stand up for the farmers and ranchers in the 11th District of Texas by joining my fellow Republicans in demanding the Administration rollback this egregious federal overreach.”
