Early ISD Ag Mechanics students are blazing a trail across Texas with exceptional projects that show their hard work, dedication, and attention to detail.  Each competition holds entries from schools of all sizes.  Projects are classified by similarities, not the sizes of the schools from where they came.  These Early ISD students and their projects are the current representatives of the exemplary Early ISD FFA chapter and its leaders.  These students will say that “good enough is not good enough.”  Each day they work towards perfection, fine tuning their skills under the guidance of the EISD Ag teachers, Mr. Hopper, Mr. Barnett, and Mrs. Pospisil.

This year to date, the students have taken home many awards including the coveted Hill Country Grandstand Grand Champion Ag Mechanics Project award from Kerrville, TX.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime honor that very few attain.

Other awards received are:

Champion Livestock Equipment – Southwestern Expo and Livestock Show

Grand and Reserve Champion Projects – Brown County Youth Fair

Grand Champion and two 2nd in class placings – Fort Worth Livestock Show

Two 1st, One second, One 3rd, and One 5th placings – San Angelo Stock Show

2nd place team –  Liberty Hill Invitational

2nd place team – Pewitt Tractor Tech

The next Early ISD Ag Mech students’ stop is the San Antonio Stock Show, Feb 22.

These talented students have also qualified for the State Competitions:

Tractor Tech:  March 9th and 10th
