
Bangs and Early school board elections were on the ballot locally for Brown County residents for Saturday’s May 3 general election.
Joy Mitchell, with 248 votes, and Dennis Sanchez, with 189 votes, will join the Bangs ISD Board of Trustees, outdistancing Eric Lykins (173) and Robert (R.C.) Lehman (168) in the battle for two open seats.
In the race to fill an unexpired term on the Bangs ISD Board of Trustees, Blu Tidwell received 249 votes to the 157 of his challenger, Larry Lehman.
The only contested race for the Early ISD Board of Trustees was for Place 5 as Daniel Rodriguez received 108 votes to Amanda DeVusser’s 33.
Running unopposed were Robert Welker for Place 3, receiving 117 votes, and Scott Bird for Place 4, garnering 119 votes.
