It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, dad, and Pa, Steve Wood, who left this world far too soon on May 30, 2026 at the age of 63.

Steve was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend. He was known for his unwavering love for his family and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. Whether through his sense of humor, hard work, generosity, or simply his presence, he made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was casting a fishing line, cheering on his favorite NASCAR driver, or spending time with his beloved dogs, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm and gratitude.

Above all, Steve loved his family. His greatest joy was being Pa to his beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wood of Jayton; his children, Josh Wood (Andrea Duffy) of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Bubba Wood of Jayton, Amber Lemoine (Randy Doss) of Jayton, and Roy Miller of Aspermont; his mother, Joyce Wood of Jayton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, WH (Bill) Wood of Jayton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced by the family when arrangements have been finalized.
