Early voting for local primary begins next week

With next week kicking off early voting, here is a look at those running in the Brown County Republican Primary. Due to lack of competition, the winners of each race will take office. Those running are:

County Commissioner – Precinct 1–(Incumbent) Gary Worley, Tommy Blevins, Robert W. “Bob” Contreras, and Jimmy Trowbridge.

County Commissioner – Precinct 3 – (Incumbent), Wayne Shaw, Pat McLaughlin, and Jessica Acker.

State Representative – District 60 –  Mike Lang and Kevin Downing.

State Senator – District 24 – Susan King, Jon Cobb, Ryan Downton, Dawn Buckingham, Reed Williams and Brent Mayes.

Brown County Sheriff – Billy Bloom, Vance Hill and Paul Lilly.

District Attorney – 35th Judicial District – (Incumbent) Micheal Murray  and Bill Ruth.

Early voting begins February 16th and will be held at the Adams Street Community Center. Hours for early voting will be February 16th thru February 19th from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.; February 22nd thru February 24th from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and February 25th and February 26th from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Election day is March 1st.
