More than 1,100 have cast early votes

Early voting has begun and thru the close of business Thursday afternoon, 1,134 have cast a ballot in the Brown County Republican Primary. Due to lack of competition, the winners of each race will take office. Those running are:

County Commissioner – Precinct 1–(Incumbent) Gary Worley, Tommy Blevins, Robert W. “Bob” Contreras, and Jimmy Trowbridge.

County Commissioner – Precinct 3 – (Incumbent), Wayne Shaw, Pat McLaughlin, and Jessica Acker.

State Representative – District 60 –  Mike Lang and Kevin Downing.

State Senator – District 24 – Susan King, Jon Cobb, Ryan Downton, Dawn Buckingham, Reed Williams and Brent Mayes.

Brown County Sheriff – Billy Bloom, Vance Hill and Paul Lilly.

District Attorney – 35th Judicial District – (Incumbent) Micheal Murray  and Bill Ruth.

Early voting continues next week– February 22nd thru February 24th from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and February 25th and February 26th from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Election day is March 1st.
