When the Brown County Commissioner’s Court meet Monday, they will discuss fireworks. The court will decide whether or not to allow the sale of fireworks during the San Jacinto Day period. The court is the final authority on the sale of fireworks during special periods of the year including San Jacinto Day, 4th of July and New Year’s. In other business, the court will consider the reappointment of three to the Hospital Authority Board; consider an interlocal agreement between Brown County and the City of Brady and Brady ISD as it relates to upcoming elections; hear a request from Chief Deputy Vance Hill regarding the purchase of a commercial grade lawn mower for the law enforcement center; consider a policy prohibiting business solicitation at the courthouse and consider a request from Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Worley to set a 45 MPH speed limit on County Road 225. The commissioner’s court will meet Monday at 9 a.m. in the courthouse.
