Locals, out of towners take place in 100K Bangs bicycle race

Some 68 riders from all over Texas, and one from Denver, Colorado, participated in the Heart of Texas Cyclists 100K bicycle ride in Bangs. The event was in conjunction with the Bangs Flamin’ Barbecue Cookoff, to raise money for the Bangs Scholarship Fund.
In the 100K, Shaun Baldwin of Denver, Colorado, took the first place trophy; Arnaud Sillis of Austin took second; and Dr. Scot Morris of Brownwood, third. In the 60K, Dr. Pennissi Taylor of Brownwood took first place; Eddie Lord of May second; and Vincent Ornelas of Brownwood third. In the 35K, Kristin Tamminga of Brownwood took first place; Christy Ludwick of Brownwood second, and Steve Ludwick of Brownwood third. The King of the Mountain award was won by Shaun Baldwin of Denver, Colorado, and Queen of the Mountain was Margarita Radysh of May.
