The First Christian Church, located at 2411 Coggin Avenue, will carry on a holiday tradition this weekend. Pastor Sterling Lentz said the church will be offering the nativity scene for the public. He said this performance has been happening every Christmas for several years. “As far back as we can find, the production has been going on since at least 1969,” Lentz said. “We are sure it was prior to that as well.” Lentz said carrying on this legacy was important for many. “There are many traditions that need to be carried on,” Lentz said. “This connects our church to the community and makes us part of history.”
