City Hall and other City facilities will close Friday December 23 and Monday December 26 in celebration of Christmas. The Police and Fire Departments, along with other critical city services, will remain unaffected by the closure.

The following services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule:

• Solid Waste Collections: sanitation trucks will not run on Friday December 23 (or) Monday December 26. Residents with curbside garbage collection have your blue or green cart placed curbside by 7 a.m. on your designated days:

o        Thursday’s collection will take place on Wednesday Dec. 21

o        Friday’s collection will take place on Thursday Dec. 22

o        No collection on Friday December 23

o        No collection on Monday December 26

o        Monday’s collection will take place on Tuesday Dec. 27

o        Tuesday’s collection will take place on Wednesday Dec. 28

o        Thursday and Friday’s collection will be back to regular schedule

• Utilities: Emergency service is available for water and sewer needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. After hours emergency water line breaks and wastewater backup calls can be made to Police Dispatch at 325-646-6000.
• Landfill and Recycling Center: Will close Friday and Saturday Dec. 23-24 and will reopen with one crew on hand Monday Dec 26. Questions concerning the landfill can be addressed by calling 325-646-6574.

Regular operational hours for all city facilities will resume on Tuesday December 27.
