Deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office have responded to several calls over the last few days. The following are some of the calls:
• Deputy Hopson responded to CR 474 regarding a call of theft of property—more than $100, less than $750. The case is still being investigated and the victim does want to press charges on the known suspect at the time.
• Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to S. Broadway regarding a vehicle search. Upon arrival, contact was made with Deborah Zbieronek, the driver of the vehicle. Consent was given to search the vehicle. Tiffany Kite was arrested for possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams. Kite was transported to the Brown County Jail.
• Deputy Taylor Fletcher responded to Ballycastle Dr. in response to a call regarding abandoned animals. Fletcher found an underweight dog and rabbit with no access to water. No resident information could be located and both animals were seized and transported to the Corinne T. Smith Animal Shelter.
• Deputy Shade Tidwell was dispatched to CR 319 in reference to the burglary of a habitation. The complainant stated DVDs, various currencies and a knife were stolen from the residence, which was unsecured. A possible suspect was named.
