The Brownwood Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Blake Steven Danaher, 31 years of age, charging him with Improper Relationship Between an Educator/Student. The arrest warrant was issued by Brown County Justice of the Peace Walter B. Croft February 7. This violation is a second degree felony with a bond of $50,000.

The warrant stems from an investigation which began on January 31, 2017 after the police department received allegations of an improper relationship between Danaher and a Brownwood High school student during the 2013-2014 school year. Danaher was suspended by the Brownwood Independent School District on January 31st and resigned on February 1st. The BISD has cooperated fully with the ongoing criminal investigation.
