According to the jail report released by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, former BISD soccer coach Blake Danaher was booked for improper relationship between an educator and a student. Danaher was booked Wednesday and subsequently was released after posting $50,000.
The Brownwood Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Danaher, 31, charging him with Improper Relationship Between an Educator/Student. The arrest warrant was issued by Brown County Justice of the Peace Walter B. Croft February 7. This violation is a Second Degree Felony and has a bond of $50,000.
The warrant stems from an investigation which began on January 31, 2017 after the Police Department received allegations of an improper relationship between Danaher and a Brownwood High School student during the 2013-2014 school year. Danaher was suspended by the Brownwood Independent School District on January 31st and resigned on February 1. The BISD has cooperated fully with the ongoing criminal investigation.
