The Brown County Commissioners will meet Monday morning and are set to discuss a veteran’s court. The request will be brought by combat veteran Chad Smith, David Morgan, Jimmy Murray and Brown County Service Officer Billy Murphey. Currently, there are 21 of these courts in the state, with most being located in the larger cities. In other business, the court will:
• Discuss any action regarding a burn ban. Currently, there is a burn ban in the county.
• Receive the racial profiling report from Sheriff Vance Hill.
• Receive a presentation regarding the annual fire academy and burning permits associated.
• Consider a request from Precinct 3 Commissioner Wayne Shaw to install a private line on CR 261.
The county commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. in the courthouse.
