The numbers are in for the 2017 8th Annual Empty Bowls Project. GSM said they were pleased to announce that the community helped raise $27,819 at the event. $2,800 will be tithed to Food for the Hungry. Several bid on the bowls presented during the celebrity auction portion of the event. The top two bowls were Sheriff Vance Hill’s bowl which brought in $825 and Brownwood Police Chief Terry Nichols’ bowl which brought in $400.
