Earlier this week, Deputy Leighton Wyatt was dispatched to Park Rd 15 near the intersection of Hwy 279. This was in reference to a vehicle being broke down and one of the occupants trying to flag down other drivers. Upon arrival, he observed nervous behavior from the occupant and after further investigation, discovered the drive had a warrant. A search of the vehicle was conducted which led to the discovery of marijuana and a pipe. The male subject was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
In other incidents:
- Donald Rhodes reported, via phone, a license plate from his trailer had been stolen. A report was made.
- Royce Schoen reported he was the victim of Credit/Debit Card Abuse. Schoen stated his Valero Credit Card was used in Alleyton, TX without his knowledge or consent. The unauthorized transaction amount was $150.00.
- Deputy Shade Tidwell was dispatched to the EZ Mart on Hwy 279 in reference to an assault which occurred at another location. This led to the arrest of Gerald Dan Cupp for assault causing bodily inury.
- Deputy Marvin Simpson, was dispatched to CR320 in regards to criminal mischief. Upon arriving on scene, I noticed 2 mailboxes had been damaged.
- Deputy Toby Mathis, was dispatched to FM 1849 for a possible burglary. He spoke with the victim, Douglas Fenton, who said he knew who had broken into his house. Fenton provided Mathis with a time stamped picture of his sister, Barbara Jacobs on the previous day.
- Deputy Simpson arrived to the scene of a domestic disturbance in progress. He was able to identify the suspects. John Wesley Breedlove II was arrested for assault family violence-strangulation and was transported to the Brown County Jail.
