Another law enforcement official assaulted

A 52 year-old man was arrested by deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department after an incident on FM 2126. Deputies were dispatched in reference to a man hitting and threatening other members of the household. While on scene, the subject, identified as Bradley Wayne Threet struck his mother and resisted arrest, resulting in an injury to a deputy. Threet was charged with injury to elderly, aggravated assault with a weapon and assault on a public servant.
In other incidents:
• A deputy was dispatched in reference to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, a local volunteer fire department was extinguishing the fire. The owner stated he heard a loud “boom” to discover the vehicle engulfed.
• A deputy responded to a property off Hwy 279 in reference to someone trespassing inside a camper trailer on the property.
• A deputy met with a woman at the law enforcement regarding an interference with child custody.
• A deputy was dispatched to a local address in reference to an abandoned car. Once the license plates were run through dispatch, it was discovered the vehicle was reported stolen by the Brownwood Police Department. BPD detectives arrives and took charge of the vehicle.
• A deputy initiated a traffic stop near FM 1849. The stop led to the arrest of Brian and Nicole Lancaster for possession of a controlled substance. Both were transported to the Brown County Jail.
