Early Police Department respond to several calls during holiday week

Not unlike other departments in Brown County, officers with the Early Police Department responded to more than once call regarding fireworks being shot off within city limits, which is a violation of city ordinance. Officers responded to calls, but the offenders were gone upon arrival. In other incidents:
• Responded to lights on a vehicle inside a locked dealership being turned on. The scene was secured.
• Answered a call regarding a reckless driver. An officer followed the driver. No violations were spotted.
• Medical call in the 100 block of Hanson Dr.
• An officer located an unlocked door on a business. The area was cleared and the keyholder was contacted.
• An officer responded to a store, where a customer had reported to a clerk to have been assaulted by a boyfriend. It was discovered the assault occurred in the county. The sheriff’s office was located.
• Medical emergency in the 100 block of Early Blvd.
• Civil standby at a local motel
• Business alarm went off—possibly weather related.
• Agency assist with DPS regarding a DWI suspect
• Responded to Whataburger regarding four intoxicated individuals harassing customers. The driver, Caleb Brice Reich was arrested for DWI. The passengers located alternate means of transportation.
• Medical emergency in the 1000 block of Early Blvd.
• Reckless driver in the 100 block of Cactus Ln.
• Sexual assault in the 1500 block of Early Blvd. Investigation conducted with more follow-up continuing.
• Traffic hazard in the 1200 block of CC Woodson. A man was pulling a cart in the roadway. The man was advised to use the sidewalk.
