Law enforcement officials with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department serving a felony arrest warrant Tuesday dealt with a suspect who became physically volatile. While serving the warrant on Joseph Alan Havens, he attempted to flee a residence through a back door. Havens was caught immediately and taken into custody. Havens kicked out a back window of a patrol unit. Havens was arrested for the outstanding warrants, two counts of resisting arrest/transportation, one count of evading arrest and criminal mischief greater than or equal to $100, but less than $750.
In other incidents:
• A deputy was dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding an assault. A female victim said her boyfriend had attacked her. With the evidence of the victim’s injuries as well as evidence at the scene, Tyler Austin Wylie was arrested for Assault Family Violence – causing bodily injury.
• A deputy responded to County Road 607 responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. Richard Wolfe because physically non-compliant when the deputy attempted to detain him for safety and the investigation. A female said she had been assaulted earlier in the day by Wolfe, as well as the days prior. Wolfe was arrested for Assault Family Violence and Interference.
