Brownwood ISD is pleased to announce that it will collaborate with local police, firefighters and the Brownwood City Council in observing National Night Out on Tuesday, October 3. BISD will provide a greeting station at the new splash pads located by each of the Brownwood ISD elementary campuses. Cookies and drinks will be served, and representatives from all agencies will be present to visit with members of the neighborhood.
Dr. Joe Young, BISD Superintendent, said, “We are very pleased to participate in the National Night Out observance this year. Our district has a strong partnership with our local entities, and it is a pleasure to host these events with them. We are appreciative of their invitation to join the effort.”
The three neighborhood parties hosted by Brownwood ISD will be at Mayes Park directly in front of East Elementary, at Allcorn Park across the street from Woodland Heights Elementary, and at Trigg Park next door to Northwest Elementary. Hours of the event extend from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The city’s splash pads will be turned off for the night at 8 p.m.
