Driver passed out, meth-filled syringe in plain view

The following is a list of calls responded to by the Early Police Department between Oct. 12 and 15:

Welfare Check – 100 Block of Chaparral Dr. Unable to get person to the door. Officer check. No one home

Harassment – 1200 Block of C.C. Woodson – Report taken

Reckless Driver – Vehicle swerving in the roadway. Vehicle located. Father was giving driving lessons to daughter

Alarm Call – 500 Block of Garmon Dr. – Employee accidentally triggered

Medical Emergency – 200 Block of Hillcrest Dr. – Lifeguard transported

Domestic disturbance – Roadside park next to Pecan Bayou. Scene released to Brownwood officers

Fire call – 100 Block of Meadow Glen – Smoke Alarm – Checked by fire department

Domestic disturbance – 130 Sudderth Dr. – No violence – solved by separation

Weapons offense – CR 316/317 – Gunshots heard and flashlight observed near CR 317. Suspects gone prior to arrival.

Suspicious call – 130 Sudderth Dr. – Officer made contact with unconscious person in a driver’s seat. Officer had driver checked out by EMS and also observed, in plain view, a syringe loaded with methamphetamine and a baggie containing meth. The driver, identified as Anthony Calderez was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and DWI.

Suspicious call – 1000 Block of Early Blvd. – Female walking in the middle of the road – subject involved in a domestic situation. Officer transported female to the law enforcement center.
