Brownwood Regional Medical Center transitioning to a free Senior Circle Program

Brownwood Regional Medical Center is transitioning its Senior Circle from a paid membership program to a free Senior Circle program, beginning in 2018.

The hospital has sponsored a local chapter of the national Senior Circle Association since 2007. The national organization is closing at the end of 2017, so there will be no national affiliations beginning in 2018.

“We’re committed to helping seniors in our community live healthy, active lifestyles,” said Andrea Lee, Senior Circle Advisor. “We’re excited to carry on this mission by transitioning to a free Senior Circle,” said Chip Camp, BRMC Chief Executive Officer. “Our free membership program will continue to focus on supporting adults age 50 and older, except that now more seniors will have access to the education and activities, since there will be no dues.”
Andrea Lee, Advisor, said the hospital’s future Senior Circle program will include many of the activities and events members have enjoyed including:

• Physician-led education talks
• Social and fitness activities
• Health fairs and screenings
• Local merchant discount program
• Free faxing and copying of important documents (by appointment only)
• Travel program, Craft & Chat, Book Club, Monthly Luncheons

Information about Senior Circle events are posted on Brownwood Regional Medical Center website at www.brmc-cares.com. Members also receive quarterly newsletter and calendar of events, and periodic email event reminders.
