As of 8:30 Tuesday night, the Texas A&M Forest Service said 1,658 acres had been burned in the Zephyr area, which is now 80% contained. The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department have been fielding questions regarding supplies that are needed by the fire crews. They are in need of facial wipes for their hand and faces, lip balm and eye drops, Ibuprofen and non- perishable snacks. as well as Gatorade and water. All items can be dropped off at the Zephyr Fire Station or at the health department.
