‘Back the Blue’ set for Thursday at depot pavilion

Back the Blue, a law enforcement appreciation event begins 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Depot Pavilion, which is located between the Depot and Adams St. Community Center. At 5:30, the first 150 in attendance will receive a FREE pulled pork sandwich. 100 hot dogs will also be grilled for children. Free ice cream will also be handed out. And–rock painting (rocks and paint supplied) will take place in the Carnegie Room at the library.

Speakers will include Mitch Slaymaker, Terry Nichols, Mayor Stephen Haynes, Harold Hogan, Pastor Stan Roberts and Brown County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain Rick Phelps. This event is being held as a way to simply say “thank you” to law enforcement for everything they do for our communities.
