Joyce Darlene Hanley, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to the Lord Thursday, September 27, 2018.
Funeral Services for Darlene will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018, at Bangs Church of Christ with Milton Langston and Aaron LeMond officiating; burial will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Darlene was born on April 15, 1930, to Bill and Jewel Martin in Brown County. On December 15, 1947, Darlene married Troy Hanley. They were married 65 years and blessed with three kids and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her son, Steve Hanley and wife Marianne of Kerrville, daughter, Diana Early and husband David of Bangs; daughter-in-law, Maryln Hanley of Bangs; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Robertson of Weatherford, Billie Jennings of Weatherford, and Sonda Bell and husband Wayne of Teague; brother-in-law, James O. Hanley of Liberty Hill; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Martin of Brownwood and Billie R. Hanley of Aledo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hanley; son, Michael Hanley; parents, Bill and Jewel Martin; and 2 brothers, Bob Martin and Roy Martin.
