Charles L. Kennedy passed away October 19, 2018. He was born August 20, 1956 in Coleman, Texas. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Johlene Kennedy; daughter, Shannon Medina and husband Alex of Temple, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Courtney Vargas and Husband Abel of Belton, Rowdy Kennedy and wife Taylor of Temple, Oklahoma, Harly J. Strength and J.P. Medina of Temple, Oklahoma; Siblings, Vernon Kennedy and wife Brenda, Carolyn Judd and husband Charlie; three great-grandchildren, three step-children, four step grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his father E.B. Kennedy and mother Sophia Ruth Gould Kennedy.

Services for Dario Martinez Ortiz, 53, of Star, will be October 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Goldthwaite. Burial will follow at Hurst Ranch Cemetery near Star. Visitation will be October 23 at 6 p.m. at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite.
