Gayle Eldon Clements, age 79 1/2, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at a local nursing home.
Services for Gayle will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Clements officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Gayle was born on April 30, 1939, to George and Bernadine (Wente) Clements in Hancock, Minnesota. He joined and proudly served in the United States Army. After the Army, Gayle worked in many different compacities with several beer distributorships and in the oilfield. He retired with the State of Texas as a Correctional Officer. Gayle also was a volunteer for the Lake Brownwood Bridge Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years, which he loved and enjoyed.
Gayle is survived by his 2 daughters, Antoinette Linza-Moscati and husband Rick of Lakewood, CO, Renee Blisard and husband Joey of Lake Brownwood; 1 son, Craig Clements and wife Cindy of Brownwood; 7 grandchildren, Sara, Matthew, Jacie, Amber, Leslie, Matthew, and Amy; 7 great-grandchildren, Bryson, Braydon, J.J., Kaylee, Dustin, Skylar, and Briileigh; and his sister, LaDonna Kearney of FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bernadine Clements; sisters, Georgia Kenison and Judy Six; and a nephew, Mark Six.
