Deputy Jose Rodriguez with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office initiated a suspicious call Jan. 4 at the intersection of County Roads 487 and 488, where a black SUV was parked with its lights off.

The male and female, who both occupied the vehicle, had warrants out of Brown County. While detaining the female, the male, identified as Lance Robertson, ran from the scene, despite being handcuffed.

Further investigation revealed a total of .8 grams of methamphetamine and .7 grams of marijuana. Robertson was later found and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and escape. The female, identified as Katelyn Lowther was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
